Multi-Lingual Playgroup

Our Bi-lingual playgroup is open to all school aged children and their carers. Our facilitators, Yirgalem and Khadra, are well-known and respected by the local community and between them they speak Arabic, Somali, Tigrinya, Ahmaric as well as English.

Children will be exposed to all of these languages as part of their experience at playgroup. A healthy fruit morning tea is served and children can enjoy activities such as drawing, painting, reading stories and playing with the toys, while their parents have an opportunity to meet other parents and get to know Khadra and Yirgalem.

This is a wonderful way for children to develop their language and social skills and for parents to build friendships and social support.

Who: All carers and their pre-school aged children are welcome

When: Mondays 10am – 12noon throughout the school term
