Gene Reardon

Throughout my career I have worked in the education and disability sectors, with experience in schools, government and community organisations. I was a board member of the Victorian Institute of Teachers (2015-2019) and a member of the Board of Deaf Children Australia (2000-2004).

I am committed to the values underpinning the CAN Community Support Board. I have worked for many years in different policy and service areas with diverse communities including – for example working with people who are: unemployed; people who have diminished income; suffer education inequity; experience disability; or are from minority cultural or racial backgrounds. Throughout this work I have been driven by principles of social justice, human rights, respect, fairness and equity.
